8-11 Oct 2026 - Lancaster Music Festival have announced the dates for their next event.

This week we want to pay tribute to a favourite spot of ours. Archers cafe. It’s a warm and cosy nook down at the shore in Bolton-le-sands. We enjoyed cake and coffee and also a little walk around the vicinity. They’ve even got extra seating options outdoor/open barn area to get your beverage. There are even a few little animal pens to watch some fury favourites. Get this place in your diary you won’t be disappointed.

Lancaster Millennium Choir Champions - Bravely representing us all, the choir saw off competitors from around Lancashire to win the award. They won a session at a professional recording studio so hopefully we’ll hear them on the airwaves soon. St. John’s Hospice also won the peoples award. Read more.

Development project - Lancaster town centre plans £100m project with multi-use. This includes 200 homes, a hotel and an entertainment venue with a capacity of 600 people. Read more.

Morecambe Bay Swimming Group - Raised money for St. John’s hospice by swimming a collective total of 47 miles! Amazing work. Well done to you all. Read more.
